Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation Summer Camp Registration Open
Looking for something fun for the kids this summer? Registration is open for Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation’s (CCPR) 2019 Summer Camp Series. Camps will run Monday-Friday from June 3 to August 2. Camp hours fall between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., varying by camp.
There are 12 full-day camps for children ages 5-15, and half-day camps for children ages 4-10. Camp themes include sports, theater, nature and leadership. Camps are hosted throughout the city at the organization’s parks and facilities, as well as some district schools. For the first time, three camps will be hosted at West Park in the soon-to-be opening West Park Pavilion.
“Kids and parents alike enjoy our variety of camp opportunities, because there really is something for everyone,” said Ben Johnson, Director of the Summer Camp Series. “In our camps, kids have the opportunity to experience new things, build friendships and make memories.”
In most camps, campers will embark on weekly fieldtrips as well as trips to The Waterpark at the Monon Community Center. Field trips this year include Conner Prairie, the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Science Central, Indianapolis Zoo and more.
Parents can enroll their child(ren) in just one week of camp or the full summer based on their needs and availability. Camps are filling quickly, so parents are encouraged to register online soon at carmelclayparks.com.
